Welcome to the wonderful world of horses! If you have a child who loves horses, what better topic to study! This unit study covers every aspect of the horse from horse anatomy, identification of breeds, basic sketching of horses, charting bloodlines, to Bible memory verses about the horse. Subjects include: history, literature, comprehension, writing, and science.

The first thing you will notice about the new edition is that the interior is now full-color. Interesting background information on Marguerite Henry has been added. There are more explanatory notes, discussion questions and activities as well as links to interesting websites, videos, and more. Expanded to 93 lessons, this study can be completed in a year based on 3 lessons each week.

Beginning in the 1700's with the Godolphin Arabian and continuing through the early 1900's, students will learn of the Lipizzaner stallions, wild mustangs, the American bred Morgan horse, the Chincoteague ponies and other breeds. Course utilizes the Marguerite Henry award-winning books, Walter Farley's Black Stallion and Anna Sewell's Black Beauty. Learn horse anatomy, breed identification, basic sketching of horses, charting blood lines and Bible memory verses regarding the horse!
